Salary Ranges: $79,040- $89,400

Schedule: 8am-5pm, Mon-Fri with an occasional weekend day rotation every 4-6 wks.

The IAFF Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health Treatment and Recovery is a one-of-a-kind addiction treatment facility specializing in PTSD for IAFF members – and IAFF members struggling with addiction, PTSD, and other related behavioral health challenges to receive the help they need in taking the first steps toward recovery. It is a haven for members to talk with others who have faced or overcome similar challenges.

Pay Minimum

USD $79,040.00/Hr.

Pay Maximum

USD $89,400.00/Hr.

Responsibilities

The on-site Clinical Therapist is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care activities as directed by the Clinical Director. The clinician will be responsible for the patient caseload and provide group, individual, and family therapy. The clinician will conduct psychosocial and bio-psychosocial assessments. The clinician will collaborate with the Treatment Team to formulate the Master Treatment Plan and assist in coordinating discharge planning. The Clinician has primary responsibility for maintaining communication with the family, referral source, and other service providers as needed.

 

Working Hours: 8am-5pm, Mon-Fri with an occasional weekend day (1) rotation every 4-6 wks. Employees work with the Clinical Director to determine the schedule. 

 

 

 

Core Job Duties

  • Provides excellent individual, family, and group therapy to assigned patients following the program curriculum provided by Clinical
  • Completes all required documentation ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures, state regulations, Joint Commission standards, and Medical Needs Criteria. This includes the following documents:
    • Biopsychosocial Assessment
    • Integrated Summary
    • Comprehensive Problem List
    • Integrated Master Treatment Plan and Updates
    • Individual, family, and group therapy session notes
    • Discharge summary
  • Effectively uses therapeutic interventions to assist patients with accomplishing all treatment plans goals and objectives and complete
  • Effectively prepares patient for maintaining sobriety post
  • Maintain referent contact weekly or as required by Clinical Director.
  • Demonstrates sufficient comprehension of the 12 Steps, SMART Recovery, and Substance Use Disorders
  • Consistently identifies areas for improvement within the department by studying data and developing, implementing, and documenting plans for improvement and outcomes

Other Required Tasks:

  • Maintains positive relationships with all staff
  • Participate effectively in multidisciplinary treatment plan reviews
  • Maintains healthy boundaries with patients and staff
  • Asks for and accepts feedback from supervisors
  • Provides a safe and therapeutic environment to all staff and patients
  • Communicates significant patient developments to the supervisor
  • Participates in Quality Improvement activities and contributes to the success of the organization
  • Pursues professional development through participation in education and training programs
  • Contributes positively to the morale of other staff
  • Performs other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

 

  • Master's Degree preferred  with appropriate licensure/certification as per State regulations
  • At least two (2) years of clinical experience in the mental health field (additional training may substitute for one year)
  • Experienced providing 1:1 therapeutic clinical experience including treatment planning/review and/or SOAP/Dap notes
  • Experienced facilitating group therapy (DBT, CBT, ACT, Relapse Prevention)
  • Licensed in the State of Maryland with one of the following

 

LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor)

LCSW-C (Licensed Certified Social Worker – Clinical)

LCMFT (Licensed Clinical Marriage & Family Therapist)

LCADC (Licensed Clinical Alcohol & Drug Counselor)

 

 

LGPC - (Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor)

LMSW - (Licensed Master Social Worker)

LGMFT - (Licensed Graduate Marriage & Family Therapist)

LGADC - (Licensed Graduate Alcohol & Drug Counselor)

 

 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Demonstrates proficiency in communication and writing skills
  • Knowledge of State and Federal statutes regarding patient confidentiality laws
  • Knowledge of licensing and accreditation standards
