Pay Range: 85K-90K
The Employee Relations Manager is responsible for fostering a positive and productive work environment by facilitating open communication channels within the organization and encouraging dialogue between employees and leadership. This role will address employee concerns, conduct investigations, and ensure compliance with company policies and labor law. The Employee Relations Manager is also responsible for supporting ARS employees in the areas of employee grievance or complaint inquiries, employee relations, policy interpretation, worker’s compensation, leaves, and regulatory audit preparation.
Core responsibilities of this HR function:
• Responds to employee inquiries in a timely manner, escalating inquiries when needed.
• Conducts investigations and works with Leadership on appropriate disciplinary action for violations of company policy.
• Collaborates with leaders in conflict resolution, facilitating discussions between employees and Leadership.
• Coach managers on handling employee relations matters, promoting a consistent and equitable approach.
• Maintains accurate documentation of employee relations issues and resolutions within ARS’s system of record.
• Manages processes for Worker's Compensation and Leave of Abscenses.• Serves as the designated expert on Local, State and Federal Employment Law and the interpretation of Human Resources policies and stays updated on changes.
• Recommends changes in policies and procedures based on employee and company needs.
• Prepares and participates in regulatory surveys for facilities supported, as needed.
• Compiles and prepares reports as requested.
• Serves as a backup to HRBP’s as needed.
• Other duties and/or tasks as requested
Here is what we're looking for:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field required.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum five (5) years’ experience in handling Human Resources employee relations issues or a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in lieu of education requirements.
Healthcare/Behavioral Healthcare industry strongly preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION DESIRED:
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR a plus.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Knowledge of administrative tasks and responsibilities.
Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
Knowledge of HR systems is preferred.
