Pay Minimum

USD $75,000.00/Yr.

Pay Maximum

USD $90,000.00/Yr.

Responsibilities

The Human Resources Manager will influence decision making by building strong relationships with facility and corporate leadership and by leveraging available resources to support business objectives. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for supporting ARS employees in the areas of employee inquiries, employee relations, policy updates, progressive discipline, and managing the worker’s compensation and leaves of absence processes. This position will perform the following core job duties and other required tasks:

  • Serves as the designated expert on Local, State and Federal Employment Law and the interpretation of Human Resources policies.
  • Responds to employee email, telephone, and HR Support System inquiries in a timely manner, escalating inquiries when needed.
  • Collaborates with leaders in the creation and execution of retention strategies and to drive business outcomes.
  • Uses data to guide decision-making, problem solving and root cause analysis.
  • Generates official internal documents related to employee status, promotions and pay changes.
  • Conducts investigatory interviews and works with Leadership on appropriate disciplinary action for violations of company policy.
  • Provides periodic leadership development training to departments/facilities supported.
  • Manages the following processes:
    • Worker’s Compensation - beginning with the reporting of incident though closure of case.
    • Leave of Absences including Personal, FMLA, Medical Non-FMLA and Military).
    • Performance Evaluations – 90 Day and Annual Performance Review.
  • Recommends changes in policies and procedures based on employee and company needs.
  • Owner of job descriptions to include assisting with creating new job descriptions and changes to existing job descriptions as needed.
  • Prepares and participates in regulatory surveys for facilities supported.
  • Initiates Employee Engagement Surveys, analyzes trends, and reports on results.
  • Monitors Exit Interviews to identify trends and provide feedback to leadership as appropriate.
  • Compiles and prepares reports as requested.
  • Other duties and/or tasks as requested.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in handling Human Resources employee relations issues required 
    • OR a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in lieu of education requirements. 
  • Experience in behavioral healthcare industry or healthcare industry strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of administrative tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent verbal, written and problem-solving skills;
  • Resourceful thinker; Demonstrated coaching ability;
  • Strong empathy and interpersonal skills coupled with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now preferred.
  • Ability to act as liaison between employee and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in maintaining human resource information system records and compiles reports from ADP.
  • Demonstrates the ability to process, verify and maintain documentation relating to HR activities such as staffing, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Ability to participate in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
  • Demonstrates the ability to be a team player and to communicate effectively.
