Salary: $81,120 and up

 

Commuter stipend for FT Clinicians, up to $400/month!

 

Schedule: 8am-5pm, Mon-Fri with an occasional weekend day rotation every 4-6 wks.

Responsibilities

The on-site EMDR Clinical Therapist is responsible for performing patient care activities as directed by the Clinical Director.  EMDR Clinician will be responsible for the patient caseload and provide EMDR therapy to referred clients.  EMDR Clinician will occasionally conduct bio-psychosocial assessments and group, individual, and family therapy as needed.  EMDR Clinician will collaborate with the Treatment Team to formulate the Master Treatment Plan and assist in coordinating discharge planning.  The EMDR Clinician is responsible for maintaining communication with the family, referral source, and other service providers as needed.

 

CORE JOB DUTIES:

  • Provides EMDR, individual, family, and group therapy to assigned patients following the program curriculum provided by Clinical Director.
  • Completes all required documentation ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures, state regulations, Joint Commission standards, and Medical Needs Criteria. This includes the following documents:
  • Biopsychosocial Assessment
  • Integrated Summary
  • Comprehensive Problem List
  • Integrated Master Treatment Plan and Updates
  • Individual, family, and group therapy session notes
  • Discharge summary
  • Effectively uses therapeutic interventions to assist patients with accomplishing all treatment plans, goals, and objectives and successfully completing treatment.
  • Effectively prepares patients for maintaining sobriety/recovery post-discharge.
  • Maintain referent contact weekly or as required by Clinical Director.
  • Demonstrates sufficient comprehension of mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Consistently identifies department improvement areas by studying data and developing, implementing, and documenting plans for improvement and outcomes.

 

OTHER REQUIRED TASKS:

  • Maintains positive relationships with all staff
  • Participate effectively in multidisciplinary treatment plan reviews
  • Maintains healthy boundaries with patients and staff
  • Asks for and accepts feedback from supervisors
  • Provides a safe and therapeutic environment to all staff and patients
  • Communicates significant patient developments to the supervisor
  • Participates in Quality Improvement activities and contributes to the success of the organization
  • Pursues professional development through participation in education and training programs
  • Contributes positively to the morale of other staff
  • Performs other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement
Advanced Recovery Systems requires all employees who work in any facility or office to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if needed), allowable under the law unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, pregnancy, or religious belief that prevents them from being vaccinated. 

 

  • Minimum Master’s Degree in social work, psychology, or human services.
  • Minimum two (2) years of work experience in the mental health field preferred.
  • Licensed in the State of Maryland:

Required:

LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor)

LCSW-C (Licensed Certified Social Worker – Clinical)

LCMFT (Licensed Clinical Marriage & Family Therapist)

LCADC (Licensed Clinical Alcohol & Drug Counselor)

 

Preferred:

EMDRIA certification or EMDRIA Approved Consultant status, if possible

 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrates Proficiency in Communication & Written skills.
  • Knowledge of State & Federal Statutes Regarding Patient Confidentiality laws.
  • Knowledge of licensing and accreditation standards
